Make your gap year count!
The PPA Gap Year Internship Program is designed to give high school leavers some practical work experience in an international setting which will add value to their CV or College application. It’s a great opportunity to gain an insight into a particular industry before you make a decision about what to study.
The program is flexible and you can choose your:
- Start date
- Duration (between 4 and 12 weeks)
- Preferred Industry
- City (Sydney or Melbourne)
We offer custom designed packages that take the stress out of planning your trip. Upon arriving in Australia, we run weekly orientation sessions for all interns to assist them settle in their new environment and provide them with important information about their internship and useful tips on things to do and see in the city. In addition to the internship, you can select any of the following services:
- Accommodation
- Airport pickup
- Travel Insurance
- English classes
- Mobile phone
When you apply for an internship, you will be assigned a Placement Consultant who will arrange your placement, answer any questions, and be your contact person when you arrive in Australia.
Professional Pathways Australia has been placing interns since 2001 and we have a large network of host companies. All host companies are screened by our experienced staff.
Before beginning the placement, you are provided with a placement confirmation document which contains all the details about your host company and internship tasks. During the placement, Professional Pathways Australia maintains regular contact with you and your host company to ensure that you receive the appropriate training as set out in the initial training plan. With office locations in the CBD of Sydney and Melbourne, we are able to provide on the ground support for interns throughout the program.
