No Compressed Course
Release Date: 6 October 2011
The ACS & Accounting professional bodies have not approved the proposed compressed PY course for 2011 graduates.
This means that all PY courses have to run the full 44 weeks and any future courses will finish after the new ‘Expression of Interest’ migration policy takes effect on 1 July 2012.
We have only two classes remaining in 2011 – October 22 and November 26.

ICT Video Competition winner announced!

As part of the ICT Careers week which was held in July across Australia, PPA run a video competition for current Professional Year students (IT). The Video theme was "What I want to achieve in my ICT career and how PY program will help me" and the winner, Komal Gurnani, announced on the 3 August, 2011.
Komal won a $250 Dick Smith voucher and we are sure she will have fun spending it. Congratulations!

IELTS Support program introduced!
Release Date: 2 May 2011
On 29th March the first IELTS Support program has been introduced in Melbourne, followed by Sydney shortly after. The 6 week program gives students the opportunity to further develop their English skills whilst undertaking the Professional Year/SMIPA program and is designed to provide more specific training on the 4 IELTS competencies. The program is free of charge and optional for students studying at PPA.

New Gap Year Internship Program Launched December 2010

PPA is pleased to now be able to offer internships to high school leavers coming to Australia on their Gap Year. Undertaking an internship on a Gap Year enables you to discover what you want to do in terms of future study and work. See the "Gap Year Internship" section of the website for more details.

PPA hits 60% employment figure

PPA is committed to following the job hunting journey of our PY graduates and we are proud to confirm that over 60% of them are gaining employment as a result of the Professional Year program.
