How to apply for an internship in China…

1 Submit Application Form & all supporting documents

Read, understand and accept Professional Pathways Australia’s Terms & Conditions.

Include: an up-to-date CV and cover letter in English and a copy of passport if Chinese citizen.

2 Assessment made by Professional Pathways Australia

Involves a telephone/Skype interview to discuss the internship requests. Results emailed to applicant. Successful applicants receive an Application Confirmation email.

3 Online English test

For Teach English Program only – applicant will be provided with a link to an online English test.

4 Deposit

A deposit of AUD$700 is payable upon successful application/interview.

5 Internship Placement Process

Professional Pathways Australia sources ‘best fit’ placement using application details supplied (6 weeks).

6 Invoicing & payment

All remaining fees and additional charges including: airport pickup, accommodation etc. Invoice has to be paid at least 35 days before start date.

7 Pre-acceptance letter forwarded to applicant

Confirmation of location, supervisor’s name, company history and outline of the placement.

8 Visa application made

Visa forms and instructions supplied by Professional Pathways Australia. Applicant will apply for a business or tourist visa. Visa application to be lodged at Chinese embassy by student. If staying more than 90 days, visa will be extended by our partner in China.

9 Travel arrangements made

Applicant arranges flights and insurance cover. Check Professional Pathways Australia service options. Applicant to forward flight details to Professional Pathways Australia. Airport pickup service optional.

10 Pre-departure letter and Orientation agenda send to student

Information about the orientation, accommodation, internship, mandarin course. airport pick-up (if requested).

11 Orientation & pre-internship program commences

This element is arranged by Professional Pathways Australia and its partner and is a compulsory part of an internship.
