An internship program in Argentina will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to acquire work experience in a chosen field, whilst improving a foreign language in the largest Spanish speaking country in the world. The experience will not only prepare you for your future career, but will enable you to experience the unique culture that Argentina has to offer. You will be placed in an Argentinean organisation in a position related to their field of study. This is a customised program allowing you to select the start date, length and industry of placement.

Duration
Internships range from 8 – 52 weeks.You will be expected to work five days per week, no more than 6 hours per day according to each project and become an important part of the host company team.
The program includes:
- pre-arranged internship placement in your preferred industry
- ongoing monitoring and support from our partner in Argentina
- 24 - hour telephone number to assist you with personal, social, legal or other issues that may arise during your stay in Argentina
- detailed manual for the participant, containing relevant information
- Spanish courses in preparation for your internship (optional)
- accommodation during your stay (optional)
- social activities and travel tours with other participants
- health and accident insurance in Argentina (optional)
- Certificate of participation upon program completion
- Reference Letter from your host company upon internship completion.
Eligibility
You must be aged 18 years or over and have completed a minimum of one year’s study or work experience in a relevant field. You are required to have an intermediate level of Spanish language skills, be open minded, flexible and a "team player". Professional Pathways Australia can provide a Spanish language course in Buenos Aires or Cordoba prior to the internship if necessary.
Australian citizens who are travelling to Argentina for up to 90 days do not require a visa when they travel for tourism, business or investment purposes.
Australian citizens born in Argentina can travel with Australian passports, but they may stay only up to 60 days.
About Buenos Aires and Cordoba
Internships are primarily located in Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires is the financial, industrial, commercial, and cultural hub of Argentina. Strongly influenced by European culture, Buenos Aires is sometimes referred to as the "Paris of South America". Its architecture is characterized by its individuality and uniqueness, with elements resembling Barcelona, Paris and Madrid.
Buenos Aires’ climate is generally pleasant with changeable spring, hot and humid summer and mild fall resemble New York City’s seasons, but winter temperatures are more comparable to Los Angeles, Sydney or Cape Town.
Cordoba is the second-largest city in Argentina, located at the northern tip of a triangle between Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires. It has long been considered one of the most culturally rich cities of Argentina and is also home to many famous writers.
