Professional Pathways Australia offers a range of customised programs in Australia for international students and graduates.

Professional Year

Professional Pathways Australia has taken the lead in delivering the two DIAC approved Professional Year programs:

  • ACS Professional Year program
  • Skilled Migration Internship Program for Accounts (SMIPA).

In partnership with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and the CPA, NIA and ICAA, these programs have been designed principally for international graduates. Skills learned will enhance employment opportunities and provide recognised points for Australian permanent residency applications^.

Professional Internships

Professional internships in Australia are unpaid training periods of between four weeks and six months (depending on visa), and can be organised within most industries and cities in Australia. Undertaking a professional internship in Australia allows applicants to extend their area of studies or interest through practical application while gaining valuable industry experience and developing contacts.

Hospitality Internships

Internships within the hospitality field are paid and can be up to one year in length. Roles undertaken are rotated within the various departments of the hotel so that program participants can develop an awareness of industry practice. Popular among international students and entry level professionals, this program will enable an intern to extend their knowledge and experience within the hospitality area, while also financing an extended stay in Australia.

Customising the experience

Professional Pathways Australia’s programs can be packaged with optional services to best meet the needs of each applicant. We offer:

  • Airport pickup
  • Ongoing monitoring and support 
  • Workplace Preparation Course
  • Cambridge Certificate in Work Experience*.

Selecting some or all of these can make the internship more satisfying. Our objective is to assist the intern by taking the worry out of their travel and internship program arrangements so that they can relax and enjoy their experience in Australia.
