Accommodation

Professional Pathways Australia provides an accommodation service that is available to groups or individuals in Sydney, Melbourne and other locations.

There is a $200 one-off fee for your accommodation placement in addition to your weekly fee.

Homestay

Homestay is available in all capital cities and is usually outside the central business district of the city but generally within 90 minutes travel to your host company.

Homestay with meals: $270 per week.
You will have your own room in a house or apartment.
The weekly fee includes your breakfast and dinner during the week and breakfast, lunch and dinner at weekends.

Please note:

• payment of accommodation placement fee of $200 and four week’s rent in advance is required at the time of booking by means of a signed credit card authorisation emailed or faxed to us.
• Australia is a multicultural society with a variety of family types such as two parents with children, single parents, and childless couples.
• four week's notice period must be given before changing or leaving your homestay.
• generally interns do their own laundry in the Homestay house or apartment and are responsible for the cleanliness of their own room.
• you are able to use the Homestay telephone but you need to purchase a telephone card for long distance calls. Although not all homestays have internet access, there are many internet cafes in every city and most suburbs.

Shared accommodation

 Professional Pathways Australia can arrange shared accommodation in Sydney, generally within 90 minutes travel to your host company.

You will have your own room or twin share in a shared house or apartment. This may include:

• sharing with one or more persons of any nationality or gender
• sharing with a couple, or
• sharing with other travellers or interns.

No meals are provided in a shared house living arrangement. Most shared housing is equipped with a fully functioning kitchen or at the very least, basic kitchen appliances such as a fridge and microwave.

Single room: price is set year round at $314 per week to ensure availability.
Twin room: price is set year round at $214 per week per person to ensure availability.

A $55 cleaning fee per room applies.

Please note that shared furnished accommodation is very limited in Sydney. Pricing is subject to change without notice but will be confirmed prior to booking.

In addition,

• you are responsible for the cleanliness of your own room and any communal areas, and be respectful to the other members of the house.
• for twin share accommodation, you must organise your room mate prior to moving in.

Glebe Point YHA

Glebe Point YHA is the relaxed alternative for working holiday makers, or for those taking their time in Sydney. This friendly, comfortable YHA has helpful local staff that organise BBQs and activities. The large rooftop has great city views, BBQ area and sun lounges to unwind and socialise.

Bondi Beachouse YHA

Bondi Beachouse YHA  is located close to Australia's most famous beach and has friendly, helpful staff.
